It appears to be a screw through a plate into the top right or left hand corner of the handle. Follow the rods up from the door lock.

Did one last week and it’s an absolute twatt of a job

Door card off

Remove the glass

lower the mechanism

turn the battery off

remove the three door catch screws and let it hang

the handle is held on by 3x8mm nuts that rust solid

the difficult one is accessed through a hole in the sheet metal, the other two by going in by the large cutout

disconnect the 2 rods to the handle, the nylon heads rotate to release

mask around the handle to protect the paint

commence wiggling and swearing

the end by the door edge you have to force the mech through, it’s not a refined exit as the stud won’t release from its hole and inhibits movement, I bent it away in the end then it came out. I did this by putting a prybar through the outside down the side of the handle and pushing it away to release.

Thanks Conaero. How did you get at the nut which sits behind the window glass?

Took the glass out. I’ll amend my guide

turn the battery off, it only takes a lean against a microswitch and the scissor can guillotine your fingers

That's what I thought you would say. Is the glass simple to remove and reinstall? I also thought a long off set 8mm ring spanner would do the trick which of course I don't possess!

Window is the easy bit yes.

10 or 13mm each side where it goes through the glass clamps, pull the clamps off.

Pull it up and out the top

word of advice, getting the mechanism out of the frame through front surface of the door is a bit tricky, remembering how you did it when trying to put it back in - even more tricky!!, recommend putting small bit of masking/ insulating tape around the leading edge of the door frame... just in case
