Truly shocking wheels. Look tiny aside from being horrible. Ruins the car for me. A nice set of bigger alloys would make a world of difference.

Most of the cheaper Ghiblis have these yucky wheels.....suppose they are probably company cars where the option list hurts what you pay in tax etc.....

If sure those 18" wheels are just designed to sell a set of bigger ones to the first off lease owner ;)

Agree with that.

Just be aware that all these lease cars coming online are very low spec - very few will have bigger wheels, skyhook, xenons, DAB paddles, heated seats, full electric seats, tints etc.

So this car is coming up to 3 years old (if an early 2014 car), has 50k miles on it, is base spec and has retained nearly 60% of its value. Is that bad depreciation wise?

You are quite right about that, many people have failed to notice how good Maserati residuals are now. FWIW five year old GranTurismos are retailing for 50% of list which is impressive. The trick is to reduce main dealer margins where many Maserati dealers have tried over the years to inherit the Ferrari disease.

PS Part of the issue is that as the Ghilbi is at a lower price point in the first place, people get all excited when they see a Maserati below £30k that is still pretty new.

Like a few others have said Maserati are trying to tap into the executive lease hire market with the Ghibli and even the Lavente too. If it makes them enough money to develop one or even two coupes in their range over the next few years then why not. Also if my boss offered a base diesel Ghibli as a company car I would happily accept! However considering the president of the company over in Italy has one I doubt it will be an option for me lol

Suppose we will start seeing a few of the cheaper ones now that they are 2 years old as they come back off lease.

Was it as reasonable as this :D

XF 2.7D, 3.0L, 4.2L XF 2.2D, 3.0D, 5.0L
Interim Service £199 £199
Major Service Diesel £329 £329
Major Service Petrol £245 £275
Front Brake Pads £129 £129

Does anyone have experience of what Maserati charge for the services on the Ghibli petrol or diesel?

Ghibli diesel has a service pack (1st 3 services) for around £1200. Not sure after that. Just had my front brake pads replaced for £366

Diesel is 1 year of 12.5k but petrol is 2 year 12.5k. Worth thinking about for the lower mileage driver.

I'll give you a first service cost on an S after Friday... quote was £525 but we shall see.

I don't understand why Maserati have not done something creative with service fees once a vehicle is out of the service pack. I can't see this helping the appeal of the car to more people, so defeting the objective of a 'volume' Maserati. Maybe, these kind of numbers are what you'd pay at Porsche?

I asked the service girl that very question on Saturday, is there a service pack for the following 3 services, she said no. Since the diesel is chain driven theres only really the aux belt and possibly the water pump to do major item wise..

I paid about £1,700 in August for the diesel service plan.
I was surprised when I read about the cheaper and much longer service intervals for the petrol. You would have thought given the Ferrari connection it would have been the other way round.
