Wasn't there a black Maserati crash that made the news and claimed one of our lesser known members a few months back. Wasn't it New Years Day and he hit a tree?

The side impact to the drivers side would match and suggest it was fatal.

Very sad.

I think you could be right Matt. A very nasty prang and the fact the roof as been cut off may well indicate a less than satisfactory outcome. A lesson to us all that these cars can bite hard.

That could be it Matt......very heavy impact by the look of it. He hit a tree?

I remember 10 yrs ago a well known biker died in S France after hitting a huge tree on one of their route nationales......his mates went out one night and cut down dozens of them in anger!

I thought that cars that were involved in fatal accidents could not be sold on and had to be crushed? I wouldn't want my chariot to be sold for spares if I died in it... I'd like to think it went to with me so I could tear the roads up on the highway to h3ll...

Yes that was my old mate Nigel Howes Maser, we buried and sent him on his way in Nether Heyford three weeks ago..
He loved his old Maserati, was a true petrol head, and drove that 4200GT very fast on many occasion's, guess we'll never know what really happened

It was Nigel who inspired me to follow my dream and buy a Maserati, a fact which I am only to grateful for as I love the experience and am currently considering buying another.
