Didn't realise you lot existed till I read the latest Maserati Club newsletter !

My name is Simon, I live in Colchester and after a long search for 'the right one ' I finally took the plunge last summer and bought a 1993 Biturbo 2.8 Spyder auto in dark aquamarine.

She has only just turned 26000 and was supplied new by Meridien to a famous sportsman.

Does anybody know of any club meets in my area ? I saw, in the same newsletter, that somebody was attempting to start a meet down in Maidstone but this is a bit too far to travel mid week when and if I have to make an early start the next morning !

Hi Maza and a very warm welcome. Fortunately, you've stumbled on the best Maserati forum there is. There are regular meets at the Ace cafe and I am sure there will be the odd Maser around your part of the world to hook up with. If you put yourself on the global locator someone will call by I'm sure. Take care and have fun!

Welcome to the forum Simon,

Our regular meets are often at the Ace Cafe on the North Circular, There is one coming up shortly just take a look in the events.

On that there was a very nice white 2.8 Bitrubo Spyder brought along to the last Ace meet by a forum member, so he may be there again next time.

I had the pleasure of one as a loan car some time ago which was fun.

I'm sure others will offer more info on meets.

Hi Simon,

I was in Colchester myself up until August last year.... not much help to you now though
There is a couple around that neck of the woods though.

I occasionally pop up to the Ace meet myself, although they seem to all be on a Thursday when I'm out of the country.... It's a conspiracy I'm sure.

Hi Simon and a warm welcome to the forum. I'm pleased the article lead you to us and it's great to have another Biturbo join the fold.

Our next Ace meet is a Saturday affair on the 14th May as Ace are holding an Italian day. This has also been posted in the newsletter, so I'm hopeful for an impressive Trident turnout.

I hope you find plenty to interest you on the forum and it would be great to see photo's of your car when you get time?

Looked up the ace cafe meet ....sods law it's on a day that i already have something booked so thanks for the replies...will bookmark the ace cafe for future events. Do many of you italian car nuts also go to the italian car and bike meets as they seem more frequent ?

Will post some pics as soon as i get the hang of this site ! ....me and technology don't go hand in hand ..i have enough trouble opening a tin of baked beans !!

.....yup....lots of events....look in the events section....biggest one is the Auto Italia Stanford hall event in June.....but lots of other get togethers as a forum and other Italian marques......
