Right coloured rose, never venture east of the pennines there are some strange folk there. Not sure Boddies is the best of Northern brews but when right it is better than the dishwater that some Southerners call beer

There's a lot of crappy beer anywhere but yesterday lunchtime I had a pint of Adnams Southwold bitter sat in a pub by the river Deben with some colleagues over from Amsterdam and really couldn't have faulted it.

Which one, C? Not a craft pub but the Jack Horner on the other side of Tottenham Court Road normally has plenty of good beers to pick from.

Any southern pub that serves good quality beer in those small glasses you have, is to be applauded, it's those miriad of others who serve that cold tea that I don't get on with. I used to work for Ansells/Allied years ago and always tried to get out of working in the south and yet a few years before that I lived in Chelsea. We all have our favourites but real ale has to be the answer, the rest is just playing at it..!! We have oversized glasses in the north so we can accomodate a full pint and a head, not the small ones you have to fill to the brim, then spill your beer on the way to your seat, it's not sensible, but that's southern logic I suppose....!!!!
