I've got an ODBII cable that I used on my Audi and wondering if there any cables / software we can get to reading fault codes and basic readings (engine speed, temp water and oil) ect ?

I am also looking for a workshop manual on the GS, not seen them on ebay ?

EnzoMC, the GS is ODBII compliant, well actually EODB, so the cable should be common. Are you wanting a code reader or software to run on a PC? Either way there should be plenty on fleebay that read codes etc.

Best of luck with the GS workshop manual. I've never seen one, so if you do come across one, I think you'll have the makings of a little earner! :D

Code reading is easy with the EODB tools - just plug in under the steering column, turn key (but don't press Start button) and it should give you the list of stored codes.

The codes will be listed somewhere on the web. Most tools come with a booklet matching codes to faults.

I think it was me. Try a search on Gendan. Highly recomended and recently helped to diagnose a cat problem.

Digimoto is brilliant and does indeed have a full set of soft gauges showing rev, fuel pressure, coolant etc. I will also show live streaming data from things like Lambdas and O2 sensors.

on the Audi it was fine, I think the issue is driving and the tempatation to montor the output.

isn't the connector on the passenage side ? just seen your car list so will bow to your knowledge

Don't rely on me - I couldn't even remember whether my last GS was full leather or not. I think Adam (GransportFan1) corrected me!!!
