Matt, it looks like you polish it with a Brillo pad! It looks a fair bit better now though. Good work Paul.

Looking fab Paul!

I am really looking forward to getting her back, the Lambo is fun and all, but it does feel like you are cheating on the one you love!

Ian, the swirls could only be seen in bright sunlight and when clean and waxed look fantastic, its just the picky nature of me to get it A1. I have always looked after things, you always get this special care and attention payed back when you come to sell them.

Matt, plenty of swirls in the paint mate, are you having her clay bar treated this time and antiswirl before wax, at the price quoted?

No, its paint correction, so no masking of the swirls, the paint is cut and cut until all the swirls are removed then polished and sealed.

He did the interior too, which was good of him as paint correction was all it was booked in for.

I asked Paul what to use when washing a car and he basically told me off for using my beloved aqua blade, so as such, that has now been committed to the bin.

Correct process:
  • Jet wash
  • Snow foam
  • Hose rinse
  • Wash mit with suitable cleanser, 2 bucket method with grit guard
  • Hose rinse
  • Drying towel, not waffle. You use 2, one to dab and the other to wipe
  • Sealer/wax if required.

Sounds good to me! So they do not suggest a blade then? I will have to tell my hand wash boys to stop using that!! Any idea where you can get the snow foam, I thought that normally had the soap and wax in it as one foam? I will see if I can get an adaptor for my pressure washer lance for the foam.

The snow foam you can get and as you say, plug it onto your pressure washer. I bought this one:

You also have to get the right chemicals too:]

The blades are a no no, shame as I love mine its brilliant, but where its in contact with the surface, any dirt gets dragged across the paint and scratches it. A lot of my scratches were linear and not circular so hence its pretty obvious that this is damaging the car.

Hand car wash boys...good god man!!! you may as well ask them to use sandpaper, what with dirty water, dirty sponge, guys wearing jeans and metal belts whilst leaning over the car, blades then crappy old chammys...nice. Wont even use them for the 21 year old Golf!!!
