Granturismo handbrake issue

When I was last testing in the UK 2014 always used the Tapley meter same with 4 wheel drives.
The Test was simpler in NZ with most places not having a brake roller test set up.
If it was a manual transmission can you stall the engine with hand brake on no emissions test either.

No, it only says that if the vehicle or system is not suitable you can use a deceleromter and defines how this is done.

I'd have thought that 'not suitable' would cover both damage to the diff and risk of coming of the rollers.

I bought a Tapley meter on eBay and checked it against the one at my MOT station. At least I can now make sure the brakes are going to pass before taking the car for its test. It was £40 well spent!
