If you need a car that you will use every day to go to work and get all the respect of the world, then GT.

If you want a car that brings you in driving heaven, like steering, aggressiveness and sportivity, then GS.

If you want a car that you will use every day to go to work, get the respect and be in driving heaven under all circumstances, then GT MC Stradale.

Good night, i may have a dream of a Stradale at the moment :)

That's kind of what I was saying as well in my post earlier - the MC variants (Stradale and GranCabrio MC) strike a great balance between a grand tourer and driving heaven :D

I know that some of you will chew the face off me for asking this haha, but even though both the GranSport and GranTurismo are both pieces of exquisite performance and art, which one do you guys prefer and why, cheers

GT EVERYTIME.

Without wanting to completely alienate every GS driver out there (which is exactly what I am about to do!) there is a nice silver GS that parks in the station car park most days, where I live, and next to my silver GT, it looks pedestrian and I think, old fashioned (but not in a Ghibli, Indy, Khamsin way!)

To my eyes, the GT is still drop dead sexy even now, and looks like nothing else on the road - that is why I wanted one SO badly.

I just cannot say that about the GS, regardless of 'chuckability' ;-)

By the way, I flashed my lights at the GS driver soon after getting my car, and he returned the favour, which was nice, but recently we happened to get off the same train and walk back to our cars almost alongside each other, as they were parked nearly side by side.

I momentarily hovered to see if he was going to catch my eye and initiate some Maserati-related aficionado chat, but he kept his head down, jumped into his car, and drove off!

Maybe he had had a bad day at work. Or he has heard about me already.....!:-/

I think the later GTs are baggy looking and have lost the original Maserati GS'4200'3200 classic lines....

Sorry Bob but those Gran thingies don't do it for me

Bob, |I love the Gransport and would have one tomorrow but I do tend to agree with you the GT has made it look ...as you say...old fashioned...... but then the shape is around 16 years old now...........

Now you see I don't see the GS as old fashioned.

It's built much better too.

The GT is a beautiful car but performance wise a 4.2 GT vs a GS absolutely no contest.

GTS well sure that has the performance but at a price.

I have always wanted a GT, the look and sound are just bang on but since hanging about with a few of the SMers I have seen how fecking big they look, they just seem enormous. As an everyday GT they are probably awesome and they do make a statement where ever you see them but I think I prefer the older car.

So as I have just put down one group of SMers might as well go for the next - I really don't like the GS. I don't like those surf boards gown the side, I don't like the grills round the rear bumper and I am not that keen on the central console.

I do like the both the 4200 & 3200, I like the cleaner simple lines that seem to all be part of sublime design. I will go and find my coat

The 3200 shape and all it's clones are great looking cars but they are no longer modern shapes. They will stand the test of time well as classic models but they do look like previous (or previous previous) shape cars.
