I know that some of you will chew the face off me for asking this haha, but even though both the GranSport and GranTurismo are both pieces of exquisite performance and art, which one do you guys prefer and why, cheers

Had two Coupe now and love them...but if funding was not an issue it would be a GT, even over a low miles perfect GS

Reverse for me, had a GS, then a GTS MC shift, now back in a GS.

Loved em both but the GS for me is just more chuckable if that makes sence.

GTS has great presence and comfort but the steering feel is very knumb and disconnected.... Not saying I would not have another though.

They are two very different cars TBH. Although the GranTurismo was the 'successor' to the GranSport, it was never a direct 'replacement' (despite it also being a 2+2 with a V8 engine in it). As Conaero says, the GranSport is more "chuckable", but then that's hardly a surprise due to the lower weight and size of the GS vs. the GT. The GranTurismo is as per the name suggests - more of a grand tourer. Having said that, the GT 'S' and 'Sport' models are 'racier' than the base 4.2l GT, with the MC models being racier still.

Personally, if I had to have one it would be the GranTurismo - the timeless lines, the aggressive yet sexy styling, greater road presence (but one whereby onlookers are full of admiration rather than resentment), and of course even greater every day usability. But when I had my base GT I also bought a Porsche 981 convertible for fun, 'chuckable' drives :D

Same here....If I had one as well it would be to use everyday and I think the GT would be the better companion........Its the more modern car platform wise and with every model Maserati seems to improve the quality and reliability....Both cars are brilliant mind you.....but both are very different cars so it all depends what you are looking for.

Like Matt, i've been lucky enough to have had both, and I too have gone GS to GTS and back to GS? Prefer the performance of the GS as, for me, it is a better balance between sports car and GT car (even the GTs MC Shift), its more nimble and chuckable. Lookswise, I love them both, the aggression and sharper edges of the GTS are more contemporary, whilst the GS is a more classical shape I think, It will be interesting to see which is regarded as the better looking car in 40-50 years when they will both have the potential to seen as iconic Maseratis of about the same era.

How big are the rear seats in a GS as I have never looked closely? On the surface it appears more 2+2 vs. the GT which I regard as a four seater. For me that would mean they do not compete, and it also makes the GT unique in the market, which is why I landed on getting one.... And then there's the looks,...

Two adults in the back is fine in the coupe. ..surprisingly spacious.
Agreed. I've taken the in laws out to dinner a couple of times with no complaints.

On the GS vs. GTS question, my choice is the GS right now.

That's driven, in part, by budget. The appeal is also that the car is, to me, when Maserati got it right again.

If I had the means, I would love to run a GTS too or ideally a 4.7 QP. The GTS would be more user friendly than the GS I expect and would be a better daily user, particularly in auto mode. And that sound....man alive, that could make a grown man weep.

I don't have any real basis for my assumption but I would expect the GTS to be a better blend of usable GT than the GS.

If you need a car that you will use every day to go to work and get all the respect of the world, then GT.

If you want a car that brings you in driving heaven, like steering, aggressiveness and sportivity, then GS.

If you want a car that you will use every day to go to work, get the respect and be in driving heaven under all circumstances, then GT MC Stradale.

Good night, i may have a dream of a Stradale at the moment :)
