Re-creations are always an emotive issue. Before I built the Tipo, I genuinely considered buying a genuine '250f'. A few things however, put me off: Its not road legal, does 8MPG, no starter motor, parts can be a 'tad' expensive, and not very practical for the Sainsburys run. Oh, and the not so small matter of £3 million for a nice one, "never raced or rallied", you know the thing. Whereas the Tipo ticks all the boxes, I can even fit One french stick, approx two kilos of chicken, and 4 bottles of beer in it. I know its not the real thing, but its useable, and great fun, and, (in my opinion) looks the part.
