You don't need the Ghibli Ho Yin. Keep the GTS for high days and holidays and road trips. Keep the Noble, just because. And then buy whatever she likes for the family. We have a Volvo XC60, before that was a Volvo XC90, before that, a Touareg (although it was an R50....).

Personally, i'd have a 530/535d touring with all the toys. They drive great, carry everything and hold value well considering. Get a good spec one with the huge sunroof and head-up display etc. All the daily use family car anyone could ever need.

My wife sounds similar to yours. Doesn't really spend, comes from an educated, steady background. They're worth keeping hold of, the alternatives could bankrupt us!

Alex knows that she means more to me than a car (even a Maserati), however, she'd never ask/tell me to sell it. Even though she doesn't like it (too loud apparently....) and doesn't want to drive it.

That's the give and take.

Although she has said when I get a GT she will drive that, as there's no way it could possibly be as loud as the 4200 (there's a mission should I choose to accept!).

Mrs Crud didn't realise how much she liked the GTS until I said I was selling it about a year ago. Apparently I was mistaken. We still have it and I still can't actually think of anything which could replace it. Nor Mrs C, come to think of it. Both are hilarious and quite loud. Mercifully while one's a heavy drinker the other is pretty restrained. And not much into handbags and other such shite.

I suggest a little less throttle with Mrs Crud to improve her miles per gallon!

From your wife of only a few weeks.....women do change their options and priorities, you need to know this.

My Mrs loves the GS and doesnt ever want me to sell it... even for a GTS.
We have run into a new problem though, my eldest son is 14 and is now to tall for being in the back of the GS (yes hes very tall).
We needed a runabout to do everything that was going to be parked on the street where it would get scratched (all cars here do)
so i bought this
disco.jpg
it only a cheapie POS , it has taken me snowboarding twice up to sierra nevada and many other trips.
The mrs loves this too because she can drive it.
I suppose we all just adapt to our needs car wise but it nice to have that special vehicle.. If you have to sell the Ghibli so be it....the GTS is non neg you will need it for you time rather than family time.

Mrs Z drives all our cars and is even known to take them out when I'm not here, too m any times over the summer did I receive a photo of the Spyder or the SZ parked in some pub car park whilst they were enjoying lunch.

When we bought the QP the bloke gave me the keys to go for a test drive and just threw to Mrs Z with the comment you best drive it fist because if you don't like it I won't be buying it - the seller nearly choked.

Almost certain I walked past that building in October when our cruise ship parked up....

I have it a little different - my missus keeps telling me to buy another Maser........but I am pickier than a picky thing in a pickling jar and just do not know what I want!!!!!
