I do agree, it is quite stupid and you can face concequences. I suppose you dont realise how severe joking around is until someone outlines the concequences and effects it can have.

You're a lot more grown up than I was at your age I expect Adam and that really is a very mature response!

Just so you don't think I'm an old fart (I know I am) I remember at 17, my mates 'racing' along the Braunton dual carriageway in Devon, I was passenger in a 1300 Metro and we were somehow passing a mate's asthmatic old 1100 Golf. As we crawled passed, I unclipped my seat belt, climbed out of the Metro onto the roof rack of the Golf and just hung on, we were doing 50-60mph! Both of them were shocked, I was too drunk to really remember even doing it. Kind of stupid, I should have died a hundred times around that period, jumping off cliffs into the sea (I can't swim), riding motorbikes without a helmet and drinking... Oh god did I drink.

Ended up in hospital for the 3rd time after a bottle of vodka to start the evening - mates 19th birthday, we lined up 19 shots of bacardi & coke each and downed them one after the other. He was fine, but I'd already had 3/4 litre neat before I'd even gone out. Ambulance after the internal bleeding started, woke up next afternoon with 5 drip feeds in me. Feeling better after all the medical grade saline, I then went out drinking that night again, but though 'I'll just stick with beers, kid's drinks'. Was doing my party trick, 2 bottles of Bud in the mouth and downed together, very pretty blonde woman of 30 or so came up and started talking to me. 'Wahey' thought I; 'You don't remember me, do you?' she asked. When I gave her the usual 'I meet a lot of girls line' she reminded me she was an A&E nurse and was the one who'd catheterised me the previous night as I was incontinent and pee'ing all over the emergency room of the hospital. Got a proper scolding, not sure whether it did any good but I remember it 20 years later!

Went out on what I thought was a 'proper' drinking session last Saturday in Soho; had 4 bottles of Heineken then went home and watched TV! I'm old and I'm lightweight :(

or the hitchikers, that is quite funny Matt.

My Dad used to do that when he were a lad in his Vauxhall Cresta 3000... he said you could get them to run after you at least twice, usually 3 times! Always felt sad for them, but them's the breaks!

Classic Lewis I did not know you had such a chequered past, the blonde A&E nurse sounds humbling.

Wish I had met you back then, I was of a similar hooligan social standing.

At 15-17 I could drink way more than I can handle now. Saturdays were just all about getting wrecked. I have done some things I am not proud of and probably more that I cant remember, suppose its all apart of growing up.

As I sit here in my 40th year of floating around on this rock, with my wife, 2 kids, and a mortgage, I worry more about my daughters meeting t!ts like me, ironic hey!

Matt, I was a right state back then. Here's me in my first year of Geology, obligatory bottle of Thunderbird on the desk...

For those of you who've met me... you may notice some differences...

Bloody **** Lewis, i have never been into spirits, i dont mind mixing like Vodka with something but not neat, makes me heave if i have a cap full of vodka. I can drink a fair amount, drank 10 bottles of Bud's at a mates 17th and was still able to stand up so i thought i would have a go on the spirit's, worst thing i did, was pretty much out of it and could barely talk. Never drank that much since, was 16 at the time.

Hmm... silly things we (I) did???

Most don't bear repeating suffice to say my motto as a youth was 'Try everything, at least once'...

My parents moved up North to Buxton when I was just 16 so I had the house to myself for most of a year and I sold it for them! so I was on my own and in digs at 16!!! My 17th birthday got me a full set of Hells Angels 'rockers' having completed my prospecting in a short time by 'proving' myeself doing thiings I won't elaborate upon!!! at 19 I lost 3 days of my life in a cocaine induced coma....

Hmmm... Silly things we did???

Met Jeanette during recovery period, got a mortgage, set up a property development business within three years and paid off my motgage in my 22nd year!!! built the business to a £1 million turnover by 88 and lost most of it in the crash!!! Been paying loans and mortgages ever since....

Hmmm... Silly things we did???

I once was 5p short at school when i wanted an ice cream from the ice cream man....i used to buy a lolly every other day & the tight git never let me off, he told me no, so i sneaked up & put a banana in the exhaust and also found giant nails and put them just under his tyres....hes thats right, we laughed as the van wouldnt start, as for the tyres, well he never came the next day so i take it he realised very late on that it was flat.....when i saw him and got a lolly from him after a few days he looked and said that i was a bad boy, told him dont know what jes talking bout then walked off.....boring but i aint going into anything else man otherwise there will be allsorts of trouble
