FWIW... I have my 4 Digit "Short but entirely Legal" front plate stickyed directly onto the bottom lip of the nose and the splitter... Works a treat, pretty discreet and doesn't hit the speed humps... And no bulky plate holder to mess it up..
The previous GT had a plastic plate holder on the front which conveniently matched the length of the plate ... not too bad..
The New Sport had a metal plate holder fitted - which I removed as I was worried that if it did scrape a speed hump I might lose more than the plate... Whole thing looks much better now..
Plates were made up on-line by some firm in Ireland... completely legal.. which - so far as I gather only relates to the Font, The Size of the Digits, and the spacing between them and around. As long as the spacing meets the requirement the plate can be any size..(plate makers name in small print also on them... but no border or any other clutter)...
