I don't think it's that simple. The extra 1sec a lap comes from practice, set-up, getting to know the limits etc which he's obviously not able to do well. I think therefore that he will do well to stay in the top 5 or so, both in qualifying and the race itself. I think that would be a realistic aim. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to see him destroy the field and add fuel to the "it's the best car" debate as I'm not a Lewis fan however I think it may actually prove that debate by showing that it is the driver who adds that little bit extra and differentiates themselves from the rest.
It's certainly going to be interested to see it unfold, something to look forward to. If I was Bottas, I'd be doing everything possible to ensure I don't get beaten. Not even in practice. I think this is about assessing for the 2022 drive, once contracts expire.
Or maybe Lewis will retire and it's about next year......
