Enjoyed that. Hamilton was on one!

I was good to watch wasn’t it ….. Hamilton was just brilliant and gives him a fighting chance tomorrow from 10th….That over take on Norris was epic. Norris didn’t even see it coming as he looked to far back when they came down the straight. With his rear wing back to where it should be it showed that he probably would have been on pole anyway.

Cracking race all round especially from Lewis. Amazed that Max didn't get a penalty for forcing Lewis off - looked to me that he straightened his line to push Lewis out. Strange that the camera showing his steering wheel wasn't available.

The championship isn't over yet.

Great race shows what can happen when you have a circuit that allows overtaking the rear wing penalty irked Lewis and drove him to be his best.

Max needs to watch his behaviour, both pushing Lewis wide and weaving were not his best moments. 3 more races Max still has the advantage but a caged lion has been released what can he do

There is certainly something going on.. either legal or not. They have found something. Lewis on the straights was just brreezing past everyone

When fighting for a championship i like to see someone push the rules, you won't win a championship by being a good boy.

Max’s driving is appalling. Him winning a world championship will be the most dangerous thing that’s happened to motorsport in the years I’ve been competing. It encourages those starting out in the sport to drive in the same way. We had a marshal killed at Brands Hatch this year after competitors did exactly the same sort of thing Max did yesterday.

Yes,from one weekend to the next Hamilton is suddenly 30km faster on the straight, you don’t need to be Hamilton to overtake a car with that speed differential as Norris also said. Ham‘s car is in a different league. Max wasn’t having a look at that wing for nothing (in fact it was for € 50k!!). It’ll be a walk over from here if they keep that speed differential no matter what Max does.

I don’t think Hamilton can get a car to go 30km faster on the straight just by being a great driver. Not with Max doing his utmost to stay ahead. That’s what got him his passes, even Norris said so. They did something to suddenly have that advantage on Hamilton’s car after Mexico (and the US). A car doesn’t just suddenly have such a speed differential. If it stays like this Max has no chance, even with 14 points in the bag. If Hamilton wins the next 3 he will have the championship. Max will have to fight tooth and nail to somehow get in front of Hamilton and then stay there. If he manages we can expect some fire works.

I think that is a bit harsh - even Hamilton said he saw nothing wrong with the defense. Just check who has penalty points on their license. Hamilton and Max are both on 2, received for crashes with each other, of which the one caused by Hamilton was by far the most dangerous.

It’s not a bit harsh. The reason I say that is when Max does something dangerous everyone says “it’s great, it’s aggressive driving”. That’s the problem. It’s lauded by fans who have become numb to the risks because drivers walk away from massive accidents.

It's been smoke and mirrors for decades. For a while I thought Max 95% had the championship but there is the lots to play for now. Max clearly went to the Michael Schumacher school of defending so lots of carbon fibre will likely get shattered in the Middle East next month.

RB's development curve flattened off and they are running much older engines now compared to Mercedes

MB have recently taken advantage of the anti-embaressment rules set out for Honda when they were developing their Power Units to get fresh ICEs in their two cars, that has neutralised RB/Hondas power advantage - Honda fast tracked 2 years worth of development into their 2021 power unit as part of their swan song in the sport

Along with the FIA targeting rules to create an inherent disadvantage for MBs aero package makes this season's "intense" championship battle seem rather (poorly) manufactured like some kind of pop idol-esque TV talent show run by Simon Cowel. It has been Red Bull's championship to lose for the entire season.

And what when Hamilton does something dangerous? I don’t hear you about the Silverstone incident, so it seems a bit partisan, or based on a few years ago. Maybe I don’t understand your point - Alternatively are you saying the stewards are not doing their job properly at the moment compared to previously?
