A swanky watch is a bit of a tw4t-flaunt

exactly and especially if you're a celebrity flaunting such ridiculous wealth here there and everywhere as well, i think some of these people live in a fantasy land where crime, poverty and desperados don't exist, there are folk dying, losing jobs and businesses over covid and we have these ***** flaunting such ridiculous sums of money on social media/tv and then surprised they've been mugged, fecking idiots imo.

We have friends round the corner and the wife is from SA

She says ita dreadful out there and what happened in Zimb has spread to the South, whites getting murdered and robbed in their homes and getting chased out.

She also says it’s not getting reported overseas for some reason

There is a lot of misinformation about the rioting and looting in SA. My friends in Durban and Pretoria say that while there might be a small uptick in rich white people getting murdered and robbed (from a fairly high level anyway), most of the new unrest is amongst poor black people fighting each other over political sectarianism, plus opportunists helping themselves to 'free stuff' from nearby shops. Seems to be plenty of reporting of all this in the UK, as well as plenty of misinformation. There is also some good news from Zimbabwe, with white farmers getting back the land that their great grandparents stole fair and square from the indigenous population 200 years ago.

I imagine he was required to wear that watch. They get paid a fortune because of the advertising revenue they generate

in that case tough sh1te if they get mugged then imo, should have more sense and understanding, especially in the current times, they do have a choice but clearly greed clouds their judgement

Quick mod-hat thing: let's try to avoid the more incendiary (sorry!) topics. Including Mr Hamilton's dress sense. :) Feel free to carry on, but play nice.

What’s happened to Tallman? I hope he’s okay.
Hi all - thanks for the concern - where I am there is no trouble, I’m in Stellenbosch. There has not been any looting in the past few days in the Western Cape, it’s mostly concentrated around Johannesburg/ Pretoria and KwaZulu-Natal where there is a high concentration of Zulu’s - Zuma is a Zulu hence they are upset he is jailed….then there are the usual instigators paid by the corrupt lot that would prefer a Zuma a type leader above Ramaphosa who is doing a good job trying to root out the rot - but that’s difficult if some of the rot is popular and still in influential positions…and there are the EFF radicals with a demagogue leader Malema who would like to upset the cart as well.

At one Mall the supermarket took cooking oil and flooded the floors in front of the entrance - when the looters came they slid on their arses and banged their heads - if it wasn’t so tragic it would be hilarious. It should calm down now, I certainly hope so.

Simple but effective!

I shall toast you this evening with a bottle of your own wine, Tallman. You live in God's country (even if sometimes it seems like the other guy is kicking up some trouble).

I read that he was mugged in the private Wembley car-park... so maybe he was just unlucky in being the first rich person to leave with a £40k watch...

Still a real laps in Wembley security probably due to the earlier incidents.
