Crashing out when in the lead…where have I seen that before? Oh it was in Monaco, twice I think. There should be a rule against it! Something like a 3 place grid penalty for obstructing the other competitors that had a chance.

Didn't look deliberate, he didn't exactly just park it like erm someone else did.

The ferraris were both up there all through the weekend so why would he have done it deliberately.

I don't think he did it deliberately - he was over driving to compensate for a faster VES/RBR combination for pole.

Shame it played out that way in the end

F1 has firmly outgrown Monaco now... They should turn up and do a festival with parade laps and do the race somewhere that can handle 1000bhp in 5+ metre long cars.

Rosberg didn’t crash though. He simply approached a corner too fast and took the run off so nobody else could complete their lap....

It’s very difficult to say deliberate or not, the fact is, he knew he could take more risk. There’s a fine line between taking more risk and going just that much too far knowing it will benefit you. I’m not saying he did that, but the possibility should be taken away. you could say he got a permanent advantage through his crash..

He may well lose it for his gearbox anyway. If you were trying to nobble it, you would go in front first.

As aside. Has anyone watched Ted’s Quali Notebook on Sky. His art direction was sublime.

Ferrari may have a 10 place penalty as they may need to change the gearbox. Other teams are waiting to hear with baited breath no doubt.

The Ferrari has been on pace all weekend it would be nice if they could start from pole, lad at work has a bet Ferrari on pole, win the race and fastest lap I thought he was being speculative but maybe he knows something ;)

Will watch later to see

Sky reporting no damage according to Ferrari.
Looking at how hard the rear right hit the barrier, it’s hard to believe there isn’t.
Must make Ferrari gear boxes out of better materials than the stuff they supply us.
That’s like Swiss cheese....

I can’t imagine it was deliberate.
He’s near as **** wrecked the car,
Caused his team untold work and risks reliability issues during the race as a result.
no driver would wanna risk that.....racing error.

Lando is the future of F1 and a future Champion. McLaren should also keep the Gulf paint scheme they had this weekend as it looked brilliant....and bin Daniel. Never understand why they signed him and after today I still don’t.

Good to have a new championship leader though, at long last Mercedes’ dominance is being challenged - faultless race from both Red Bull racers and the team
