Just a little report as I was a little sceptical about putting them in place of the original Pirelli tyres and I am happy to report that on my 1200 mile round trip of France they performed faultlessly.

Dare I say it, the perform better than the Pirelli, as we were really pushing the cars and I never once had the tail even remotely showing signs of stepping out.

Brakes were spot on, and even under heavy emergency stops (I had a few scares) the dealt with it in their stride.

Massive thumbs up for them. (I had them fitted all round the day before I left for Le Mans)

If I had to be picky, the only thing I dont like is that the rears dont cover the rim very well, and would be tempted next time to go up to the next width so the anti curb curls round the rim further.

Hi Matt,

I'm curious, does this have any detrimental effect on sidewall strength or cornering roll?

Many of the yanks go up a size or two Miles without adverse affects, quite common to put on 285 , just that the tyre dealer will admonish himself by saying that speedo or msp might be affected , but so far never ever heard any bad affects

Can confirm those positive experiences.
Had them on the 3200, recently mounted them on the GS as well.
Last point you made is exactly my concideretion for the future.
Ifyou mounted a little bigger on the frontwheels as well, all should be fine i think.

Not that I noticed Myles. I would not worry about it, they seem stiff enough.

Loz, the reason you had more flies is that you were lead car, and got them all first!

Yes, the rolling radius of the wheel will be slightly different (if the profile size is kept the same) as the profile is a percentage of the width...
might be worth looking at an online tyre calculator to see what I mean, carbibles.com/tyre_bible is very good,
here is a quick example (based on my QP front tyre size):
Current wheel/tyre 245/45/18
New wheel/tyre 265/45/18
Current RR 338.85mm
New RR 347.85mm
Current Circumference 2129.06mm
New Circumference 2185.6mm
This means that when your speedo reads 70MPH you are actaully travelling at 71.86MPH
Regards,
Enzo.
(ps, all this means is that if you go for a wider tyre, you need to go for slightly lower profile).

So Enzo
Dose this mean your Mileomitr will read more miles than you have actually coverd ??
So if you run big tyres for say 20.000 you might read 22.000 ISH ????

Hi Mick,
I think it will understate the mileage...
If it shows you are traveling at 70, but actually traveling at say 72...then in an hour, you will have covered 72 miles, but only show 70...
Love,
Enzo.
