Agreed, have cash on the hip waiting to spend.

An small 4 seat coupe of GS size or a Maserati "6C" both with the V6 TT out the Alfa for £80k and I am in new.

V12 Vantage .... ....Minus the extra two seats obviously.......you probably wouldn't lose money. Ah yes I think we had this conversation under the influence of Limon Cello........

Aston Leeds....Lightening silver, black leather carbon backed seats....£79....before negotiation.....That's were I would spend your ..... Sorry my 80k Matt .... 

Strange to say, but I think both the Bond franchise and AM have sort of overdone the link between the two. Bond had a Bentley in the books but it was only because Bentley refused to loan a car for the early films that Aston got a look in.

Also, I don't like the inside of Astons as much as Fezzas and Masers. I know many say the inside of the GT is pretty old now, but I really like it. It's ageing extremely well.

Everyone likes and sees something different Adam which is good as life would be very boring if we all liked the same......I like the GT interior...still a very lovely place to be....The Vantage I drove last week felt much better put together though.....but if you are not fan of the interiors then that doesn't matter.....

On Ferrari...I do find that there is too much going on in there these days....knobs and screens just for the sake of it...I think that's why I like the McLaren very minimal interiors..Breath of fresh air.....Still a lovely place be though in a Ferrari.

The thing I dislike about Astons is that the interior is too claustrophobic. Yes I am a big lump, but the only way I would imagine anyone saying otherwise is if they are under 5ft 8 or 11 stone!

That would be me then.....Whenever I sit in a Vantage it just feels perfect.....I like to feel snug and sit in a car not on it and tha Vantage fits me like a glove. The rank of the windscreen the shallow side windows just add to that sporty feel....But I am short and when I drove the one last week and Phil stood next to the car as I sat in it I could see why he would have felt a little tight in there being tall....So sort of get what some say...

I'm 6ft 4" and in my 8.5 yrs with mine varied between 15.75st and 18.75st. The inside of a Vantage is a lovely place to be. BUT....

- you need to spend time getting the seating position just so. (Which makes memory seats essential!). The best position for me was counter-intuitive. Seat closer to the wheel, but then dropped at the rear and seat back reclined.

- a light roof lining is a must.

As standard the Aston is a nicer interior. Much more subtle use of alcantara and just nicely executed. A GT has to be spec'd up to match it IMO.

Std exhausts on Astons sound nowhere near as good as Masers. I'd say the Maser sounds better than even my old Vantage with an aftermarket exhaust (which sounded great).

Yes the GTS does sound better than standard Vantage.....ThevAston scoundrel great once giving it some where as GTS sounds great from start up and low revs as well. Taking that fuse out helps I believe. When I drove both last week I thought The Aston interior had much better build quality and felt solid.

I fitted in fine. It just felt claustrophobic. The ones I sat did have dark headlining.
Still wouldn't swap my GTS for one though.
