You and me both! Don't worry, more people will come around to our way of thinking. At the moment they think it's heresy to put a diesel in a Maserati, but it will make running a Maserati on a daily basis a lot more financially viable.

It had to come. For those of us who don't like it then we can just choose to ignore it.

Talking of electric I just ordered a Tesla Model S as a spare car. I know you will all hate me for it but it really is rather special - and easier to pop down the shops in.

Absolutely. But I don't think you will be able to. I have a feeling the diesel may well be among the best selling Ghibli models. Perhaps it might be a good idea to drive one before you dismiss it out of hand. You might even be pleasantly surprised.

i can see the diesel being the biggest model....ill be tempted by it as its an everyday car.....the v6 is the one to have but not if its everyday

Looks gorgeous in that blue. As a daily driver the diesel would be the better bet in my opinion, as long as I still had a silly V8 to make my ears happy. No need for a new car for a couple of years yet, but I'll be interested t have a drive in one.

I like it. Very much so actually - it looks so much better than the new QP and would be so much nicer and less common than a 5 series.

I would order one but I am not in the market for a saloon unfortunately. Currently in the house we run a new model Mercedes B Class and an Audi Q7. And I have my GT Sport. I fully intend to replace the Q7 with the Maserati 4x4 when it comes out. Any idea when that will go into production?

Ah the famous Q7, the car that is large on the outside and small on the inside.

Levante is next for Maserati, here in under two years IIRC.

Hhhhhmmm....not sold on it, the sound wasn't quite as flattering, nor does it suit the size/model of car.........

I'd agree with that Dem.

In ideal world we would order maseratis in v8s but in order for them to go forward like Porsche like Jaguar they need a diesel.....they will sell so many, mainly here.....i if i had a choice with work id have one.....they wont be bad on tax
