I’m in the early stages of talks regarding accepting a role at sizewell. I’m wondering if I can get paid in energy credits rather than money. Hahaha.

Regardless, it's a beautiful part of the country, Dave.
Yep. I know. I had 3 very good years in Warminster and we have friends we regularly visit there. I’m torn at the moment. Money is good but it’s the commute. I did it for those years when me and swmbo were courting. But I’m going to hold off making a decision until the Iraq job is either confirmed or denied. If nothing else I’ll stay in Denmark. It’s steady away and I can do the job standing on my head.

Diesel up by 18p/l in the past two weeks, having been on the road this has been very noticeable to me!
Yes it shoots up again, but very little is reported in the news, like its old news now.
It's always diesel too, it drops near petrol prices and then it's nearly 20p more expensive again.

Filled up this morning at BP and I noticed diesel was 28p more expensive!

Yeah I filled the Ghibli on cheap, Lincolnshire fuel and the difference was about the same. Which means the Ghibli is ver nearly as cheap on fuel on a long run as the Jaaag was (36mpg vs 42)

I found that gas consumption (and price) is obtained from daily data on gas flows from ENTSOG the European gas network operator:
.
Bulgaria and Greece don't seem to be doing too badly :)

I was 'educated' by SSE on HV transformers , their maintenance and replacement schedules when I was at Bournemouth Airport. One of my many hats to wear was looking after the HV power. And yes quite eye-opening. It was one of the 'not-so-low-hanging-fruit' of energy efficiencies. CAPEX expenditure had to be equal to 3years OPEX expenditure to meet the criteria. It didn't pre 2016 before I left. It might do now.
