Interesting for anyone who does a bit themselves.

Just nuts and bolts Phil. Only job I would think twice about is the clutch but if I had a 4200 I would give it s go.
I do have the bonus of a lift at home so that makes most jobs doable.

I think the point in the article is owners actually enjoy working on them.
It is not all about saving money on service cost or losing resale time.
I seem to remember reading the best way to home fit a clutch was to have the parameters read on a SD2/3 , fit it then take it back on a trailer to get it set up, but you'd need somebody prepared to do that.

Haven't been on the forum in ages and just popped in. I have been doing work on all my cars for ages, absolutely love it. If you keep your car long enough, it definitely pays off and offsets any loss in resale value IMO.
Matt, Congrats on the Strad mate. That's awesome! How long you had it now? Any pics on the forum?

Not disputing that, I've serviced them before what I mean is that on a Lambo if you wanted to maintain the maximum resale value you take it to a specialist or an MD. If you have an old Maser that you want to keep for ever then you service it yourself. I certainly wouldn't but a Gallardo, GTS, Strad, Murcielago, F430 from someone who had self service and had no stamps in the service book.
Talk about making your car almost unsaleable!!!! They are hard enough anyway!

Hey Ross, I was at the season opener. Great game to watch. Shame about the result though!
I think the game at Leicester is mid March. Let's see how the season pans out. If it's all to play for by that stage I'll see if I can set something up!
