So not servicing either.
They've been my main servicing dealer since I've had the GT
Who is going to buy all the Maserati test gear?

Suggestions as to alternative?

So is this just because they can't sell them or do they think the range is not fitting with the Ferrari showroom ?

The La Ferrari felt intimidated being co- located with the Ghibli. On a serious note - for those out west and especially bristol to Wales- there’s going to be a serious shortage of main dealers!

All comes down to finance I'm sure. If it was showroom look v Ferrari they'd still be doing servicing. Looks like the numbers just don't add up. Sad.

Bob Houghton maybe unless you want a main dealer or I gather there is an Italian garage in Cricklade.
ETA. Oops!

I visited them on Tuesday - the first time I’d been anywhere near Swindon for donkeys years. Nice showroom, with loads of Ferrari’s. But they “couldn’t” show me the lovely stuff upstairs (that I could see from outside) so I crossed the road to the Porsche dealer to discuss my order for a new 911.

Interestingly in Stuttguard Germany after visiting the Porsche museum we called into the local Porsche dealer. We also couldn't see all the Porsche lovely stuff upstairs!

Also reminds me when myself and my Dad called into a new local Lotus dealer in the 80's. All the cars were locked and when my dad asked to see inside the new Excel SE, the 'keys where unavailable'.
'what a shame' said my Dad.
The dealer said 'what do you drive? '
'a Lotus Excel' and then throwed the keys to me, 'want to drive us to Leeds son to a dealer that will sell us a car? `
The dealer was speachless!!

Interesting to me that the actual communication came from Maserati rather than Dick Lovett. Not sure if this means anything specific other than Maserati may have dropped Lovetts rather than the Lovetts dropping Maserati. Shame & sad either way...

Not been over impressed with their Ferrari and Porsche dept going by my brother's experiences.

Why couldn't you get upstairs Ewan. They don't usually stop people going up there. It's a lovely dealership...but the Pprsche one across the road is just as impressive. When I worked in Swindon I visited often and found myself at the sPorsche place more. What 911 model are you buying. The new one looks the business. Love 911's.

I’ve known this was coming for about a month, not good for the brand and I’m also hearing there will be another major one off soon too.

Difficult times ahead for the brand.

Good riddance.

Bob Houghton is a maybe, although they are really a Ferrari place.
Have heard good things about Carrs in Exeter (unlike the defunct Ftech).
But I usually go to Migliore in Bromsgrove. https://www.ferrarimaserati.co.uk/

I too can recommend Carr's in Exeter first class service when they had my 360 in for Service and belts back in 2014.

I hope that lovely showroom will not be going to be filled with PSA merchandise with the merger ahead ?

Aware from a source that Maserati play hard ball with thier dealers often sending what they wamt to send rather than what the dealer wants.
This along with the requisite cash on the bank, type of showroom, amd other restrictions has already meant the loss of three other MDs over the last few years.
How soon now until Meridian are the only agent?
Still there may be a sell off of parts... keep an eye on ebay or thier garage sale.

I heard exactly the same from a reliable source that dealers are force fed stock whether needed or wanted, resulting in an unsustainable model.

Bowker Maserati were apparently loss making, running into big ££ losses before parting ways end of last year
