I wouldn't necessarily assume that any dealer, even venerable ones such as Meridien, will definitely want to sell Maseratis in 3-5 years. How soon now until Meridian are the only agent?

I think it's a bit of both. Dealers and manufacturers both need investment, margins, and volumes that work to mutual advantage, and once that is no longer achievable something has to give.Interesting to me that the actual communication came from Maserati rather than Dick Lovett. Not sure if this means anything specific other than Maserati may have dropped Lovetts rather than the Lovetts dropping Maserati. Shame & sad either way...
Given the millions ploughed into a dealership it seems odd to give up the franchise. I'm guessing serious disagreement with Maserati or FCA.
I also suspect that another one of the big groups will take the franchise for the area.
.....
I may try the chap in Tewkesbury, who does classic Ferrari and Maserati, but not sure that he has the specialist diagnostics either.
I think I tried Bob, but I received a sniffy response, in which case they can $tuff off. I can take my £,000's elsewhere, prob give the Bromsgrove boys a go.
They looked after my first 4200 that I bought in 2010 for £10,000 and the previous owner had spent over £6,000 in his 2 years of ownership.I was going to ask 'what chap in Tewkesbury', but I searched instead. So I guess you mean Peter Chambers? Does anyone have experience of this outfit? <edited>

A good friend in France has worked for them for nearly 20 years I have you know.Shitroen
Charles has always been great to deal with. A real shame! They way Maserati are going now I am not totally surprised... EV motors now I’m afraid plus a tie in with Citroen.
Last time I went to DL in Swindon the Ghiblis did sort of look out of place next to all the exotic stuff. Where as here is a memory of when Maserati didn't look out of place there. This was a great morning. How young are my boys ???
Thanks for posting. So successful brand versus knackered brand. Not sure whether to keep my car or dump it. Sad times. An extract from the letter received from Dick Lovett Swindon today.
A real shame.
It may be that servicing and repairs maybe continuing, but no longer with the accolade of being executed by an approved Maserati agent. Merely piece of mind through continuity and history of attention.

If it still makes you smile like mine does, then keep it
So sad. It's something that I'll have to face sometime but not just yet.Still debating that. The world has moved on, it is no longer fast so I need to rely on it's looks, sound and smell but it's getting old and tired and is not worth a lot now.
