By 08:30 this morning I had washed, clay bar and waxed the M3.......I was always a bit wary of using the clay bar but mate put my mind and rest and I must say I really should have used it years ago.....Really was easy to use and the results are stunning.....Got all the sh1t of the paint and seemed to give it a deeper shine...Sort of brought the blue out of her.....

Yes very....I was put of from people saying you need to be carefull as it can damage the paint but as long as you keep the paint lubricated and the clay bar as well its easy.......

That is amazing, Andy. Such a deep shine. Is that the sticker from Llandow still in your window? Must admit mine is still on there.

Car looks great as always, Andy. Knowing you're an obsessive car cleaner I'm amazed you haven't tried clay bar before now. Twice a year seems to be the recommended interval. Any pics of the contaminates picked up by the clay?

Yes mate..you were right....silky smooth.......You can feel the results best around the front of the bonnet and around the bottom of the car where you get most of the rubbish/tar from the road sticking to the car....Very smooth now.

Yep, not taken it off yet Chris.....I had the last one on for a year but it was blue so didn't look out of place.......

That really is stunning.
What wax did you use and is the deep shine a result of the wax or the clay bar or both?

It has always had a good shine to be honest but the clay has given it a deep sort of wet shine. I use dodo juice poor boys juiced edition wax. I love the stuff...it smells like tropical fruit.

Ordered a clay bar myself the other day after all the chat about it - will give it a go as soon as it arrives.
