My Quattroporte has weirdly decided to turn the radio on loudly in the middle of the night , has anyone else had this issue ? . Hope it does not decide to go for a drive on it’s own !!

I take it your in the car, driving it or is it doing it parked?

If the prior, there is a setting on most cars called GAL, can’t remember exact names or even if the QP has it but it has a setting where the faster you go...the louder the road noise, the volume is increased.

I find it annoying and always disable it.

If the later, I would suspect a short in the volume nob, maybe pull it, spray in some electrical contact cleaner and work the nob (oooh ehrrr)

It happens when it’s parked and always middle of the night , Will check the volume nob contrail to see if any problem there.

Is it the auditorium system? Possibly rear controls?

No it’s a standard Bose system , no rear controls , it’s annoying as need to find solution before battery goes flat .
