I debated that myself.. but a warranty visit uncovered an oil leak so it was going back in for that, so I reluctantly decided to let them do it (with previso that the oil leak fix would negate new oil charge)Why main dealer only service history means nothing more than the previous owner spent lots on very little.

Spot on.There are two resets required at service:
I suspect they forgot the latter. This only applies to diesels.
- service indicator reset
- oil life reset
