Change oil soon

I got a "change oil soon" message on my way to work this morning.
The car has done less than 2k miles since it was changed (by Maserati) in late February.
Any ideas? Ive read about viscosity too low (related to emissions systems) but this just says change soon??

I suspect Maserati 'forgot' to reset the service coupon.....

On the phone to them, I would be.

Well they also forgot to top up the washer bottle, which they (attempted to charge for).. and they forgot to stamp the service book

My my! Who'd have thought a main dealer screwing things up? Well I never... :(

They also fixed an oil leak around the timing casing at the same time... all very suspicious

Should have said the service indicator is ok, that says 301 days or 10500 miles until service..

Still !! First main dealer experience similar to my own, charged for work not done, left tasks untouched, failed to stamp book.
Get them pulled up - could be just a blip.
result = never been back to any of them.

Why main dealer only service history means nothing more than the previous owner spent lots on very little.
I debated that myself.. but a warranty visit uncovered an oil leak so it was going back in for that, so I reluctantly decided to let them do it (with previso that the oil leak fix would negate new oil charge)

Great looking car - what colour?
You are now armed with facts and can make your choice. The block exemption meant went decades past so choose any suitable workshop for your routine services.

Thanks.. its Rosso Energia. Dont think they do it anymore. It was a dealers demo so have every option going on it..

Maserati customer service response "There is nothing wrong with our subframes. The owner is clearly at fault for using in the wet."
they have form on this matter, see wishbone issue on 3200/4200. Then wish you had not.

It’s not just Maserati….they’re all at it just like this About Astons that have supposedly been serviced regularly and book stamped. For an oil filter to be rusty really is woeful.

You need a firm you know really well and can trust, or just DIY. Invest in a lift and you get your money back very quickly and you know it’s been done properly as you did it!

I asked if they were sure the oil was actually changed and they replied they are absolutely positive it was.. at least I have that in writing!
