This Murcielago has had the following......

New fuel tank
FULL engine re build
4 head gaskets
5 clutches (it is a manual car and has done around 42k miles)
gearbox re build

list goes on.

If all early models of cars were bad then know one would buy one, for example, what is wrong with an 05 F430?? just because it is an early model does not make it worse than lets say an 08 registered car.

Maybe this was a "bad" one...............are general reports poor....ie for every good one...3 awful?

Full engine rebuild was at 37k miles.

5 clutches, yep, although i am not surprised as the owner took me out in it once, god it was quick but he hammered the gears and let the clutch out so fast.

I think this was a bad one as it got into the hands of someone who can not afford to run it. That is a similar case with a lot of cars.

Well...suppose when its 4/5 yr old....1/2 its value and you have change the clutch at £X a throw...for most people it would be hard to budget for!!

Hazard a guess at engine rebuild.......£10/15/20K?

I had my clutch wear checked at last service, 14 thousand miles done since I bought it....its now LESS worn than when I bought it......lol.....

Well it might be 10k with flywheels etc.....thats what they quoted him anyway 7.5 is still a 3200.....

That is not uncommon Frank, when i met you at the Graypaul meet, i was speaking to one of the Ferrari technicians and they have never needed to change the clutch on a 360 Challenge Stradale.

Actually...the whole concept needs re-jigged....its a bit haggard now, patently weaker and less able people being selected....never ceases to amaze me how inept these super duper individuals are!

Not as good as the 1st 3 series......
The idea of investing in someone has made the show not bout the candidates but what idea they have summitted on their cv or application....i might apply for next series
