@Nayf , has this one (or was it one of the sister cars) not been offered before?
I’m not sure. Seems to have the right mods you want and none of the ones you don’t, but it’s overdue a cambelt on time rather than miles (five years) so you’ll need to factor in a grand immediately.
Without looking at its nethers it’s tricky to tell a value, but it looks ok without seeing it up close, cambelt aside.

There is something about that I don’t think is right. Front bumper looks damaged, don’t like the painted centre console or instruments. Lights, door handles, tints, exhaust fit all a bit odd. The owners only had it since last year but the MOT ran out in April, seems weird. Don’t get carried away. I’ve gotta think it’s at an auction for a reason.

It does have MOT. The owner is based in NI so it doesn't show up on MOT history. I agree with your other points.

Check the underside carefully, if you can, go through ALL the paperwork, looking for replacement of usual stuff. Has it had an ECU for example. Personally not too keen on the cosmetic ‘upgrades’, but these aren’t the important bits. Has strut braces front and rear too, plus lowered suspension, may be somewhat harsh on the road. Like nayf said, well overdue a cambelt, should be 4 years/40k miles, no matter what any service schedule says. Mine has had 4!
It won’t go for as much as 12-15k either.

Good luck, when they are good examples they are great, nothing like them really, even when new never mind now!

In fairness the panel gaps were never uniform from the factory…

Thanks, I've spoken to the previous owner and it has recently had a replacement ECU from bussoBZH in France. The paperwork isn't great which is why I'm going to view first and decide what to do based on condition. Yes, the guide price is too high and £10-12k is probably more realistic.

Offered by Ballintaggart Cars & Classics Ltd back in August 2022

It was unsold at WB & Sons auction in October 2022 with the same guide price of £12-15k

Two other red GTAs have been offered at H&H this year and neither sold

This will give you an idea of the market for these:

Good luck @MikeyMaser if you do decide to bid

12% on hammer price (incl VAT) is fairly standard for auction houses (if still somewhat outdated in my view given how little preparation and promotion they do compared with the online alternatives that have appeared over the past 2-3 years)
