With all this nasty weather in Bristol my alarm is constantly going off on my 04 4200. Is there an easy way to disable and/or desensitise the system? Please help, I need to sleep tonight!!!

Lock car as normal, open boot with key, turn off battery, close boot.
Open boot with key, turn on battery, reset alarm with thob, close boot.
You don't need to leave window open or boot open. Just make sure you can open the boot with the key, which can be stiff if the key is not used often.

Just lock with the key...thats what I did!

I'm surprised no one has suggested this yet....by far and away the simplest way is to disarm the interior sensors when locking the car. Press (and hold) the lock button on the car .....a couple of seconds in, you'll hear a confirmation "bleep" and away you go. If we get back late at night, I sometimes leave the GS outside and the alarm would go off with the slightest breath of wind. This cured that.
Let us know if that works.
haha...let me know if its your fixNice one Woody! That's my kind of fix, being inherently lazy! Giving it a go now (simulating high winds with a stout shove!)
