What a totally brilliant day! Big thanks to Andy for sorting it all out and the ladies on the gate keeping the passengers piling through. It was great to meet plenty of SM folk and thanks for all the excellent and much needed advice from the old hands. What a great bunch of guys.

Maybe my most memorable experience was some very significant and sudden brake fade at the end of the straight just when there was quite a tailback of cars. I had been building my speed and confidence on that bit (or growing bigger balls as Adrian would have said), so it was bit of a bowel-loosening experience when it happened, but no harm done and a learning experience notched up. The other really memorable experience is seeing the fun that the passengers had in the car - they all really loved it and it has left me feeling really good. We are lucky that our cars can bring so much pleasure to people other than ourselves.

Can't wait for next year!

Another brilliant day at Brunty and fantastic to see old faces and lots of new ones, great effort and turn out. We were very popular and raised quite a chunk of cash given it's only a fiver per lap. Thanks to Andy for organising it all again, the whole family loved the day and we can't wait to be back next year to raise even more. My brakes have now completely had it and I haven't dared to look at the tyres yet. Adrian had already ordered a new set, just as well when you see the fronts on his AMG:

A few other pics from the day, not very much time to take pics as we were so busy on the track:

Had a fantastic day. Well done Andy. Pity I had to leave earlyish to get back to the restaurant. Think we'll have to do a SportsMaserati special on Friday night - stay Warwickish instead of Hinkley? An hour away but not too far. And thanks to Andy for my new set of models to adorn my office at Bar Catalan ( opening soon)!

Just worked out my mpg - I went through a tank in 107 miles so that works out to just under 7mpg. I think that's a record for me, but no doubt Benny will be along shortly to tell me I wasn't trying hard enough!!

7 sounds good, Mark! Looks like you guys had a great day and some good weather to boot. Was thinking of you all as I trudged round the sights of Dublin this morning...definitely know where I'd rather have been!

Looks like a lot more that six datsuns scattered in front of you guys there...hope they didn't block you in!

I was rather pleased with myself having reset the trip metre on setting off in the morning, I managed 17.7 mpg and 73 mph average! I then promptly forgot to reset it for the track but I did about 90 miles on the track, used 2/3 of a tank full and was cirtainly trying my best.

I agree with Mark, it was a privillage and honour to do the Wish Rides at lunch time, I think I did abut 8 back to back, the best was Mary May a little girl with a painted face who had a beaming smile, her brother stuck his head in the car and said 'She is my sister, she loves to go very fast and you won't scare her..." So I did my best as she chuckled and whooped! I hooked up my best lap of the day, using Grinzzz tip of 4th out of the chicanes and managed 160 on the straight!!!!

A great day indeed, totally knackered and signing up for next year for sure. Great to see everyone and odd seeing Franks old car but no pony tail!

Great day - thanks to Andy for organising and nice to meet everyone. It was great to chat to all the passengers and they all seemed impressed by how great maseratis are from the inside and that was before they heard the noise.

Just watch a couple of the videos now can't wait for next year.

New tyres and pads on their way!

It was great to meet you at last and sorry did get a bit more time with you or on track...After lunch got a bit harry with lots on the gate and not enough lane yards...Running round like a blue **** fly for about an hour....Love the idea of coming along to your place next time my friend or even next time we are in the area.

OK, so just want to say THANKS YOU to all who got involved yesterday. I am always amazed the support you all give to this event....Giving up your time and putting your lovely Maseratis through the mill to raise money for out charity.

I though yesterday was a step forward from last year with the track in better condition and well swept before anyone went on. Everyone seemed to behave themselves and we have def made up with our friends on the GTR gate.....Plenty of chats and good hearted banter........They must love us as two of there chaps came into our gate instead of theirs....Sort of and Lewis Hamilton pit stop moment...Good fun.

IT was great to meet old friends and some new ones..............It was clear we could have done with another 5 cars as I know you all stayed out longer than you really wanted to at times.........In fact a few of you had brake fad but saw the Q and stayed out...Amazing........The face of a young lady who had just got in Marks car when he said he really needed to go in as had no brakes was absolute picture.......

Drew/Miles, please make sure you pass on my thanks to you lovely wives without them I think once again we would have been in a pickle on the gates...They did an amazing job.

Drew, what can I say.......you trusted me with you pride and job to go out with punters for 8 laps......You are a true gent...Stunning QP as well...everyone that went in her couldn't believe how she went and handled for such a big car.......You know I want one now...Thanks you my friend....

Thanks to Shaun and Drew helping me get the punters in the car and controlling the lanyards...

As usual the GTS where very popular on the days along with Marks QP and Adrians AMG again.....Frank, think we need your as well next time as at one stage we had 7 for the AMG and 1 for a Maserati.....But all were popular and everyone go as loads of track time with punter after punter jumping in your lovely cars.

Mark, Newton, Shaun....Thank you for your time on the Wishes gate.....Every time you went past the children's faces said it all.....Priceless.

Again thank you all...everyone of you played a blinder.....Stunning achievement....

Raised £2100 which was the same as last year but with a lot less cars......
