Like the food posts so here is one to throw in, being a certain age my Mam kept all juices and oils and fat from whatever was cooked in a pint pot on the windowsill to solidify and we used it to spread on bread but only after we could see spiders footprints across the surface within the pint pot. This was a tasty snack known as Drippin' and Bread
