Brexit Deal

Varadkar blinks.

Call me skeptical but I do not see parliament agreeing any Johnson deal presented to it.....even if the Eu signs off ( I thought the withdrawal deal was closed, non negotiable).

Parliament does not want to leave and certainly doesn’t want to give any credit to the Tories for sorting/achieving a deal enabling Brexit.
A deal means the end of the Libdems as a political force once again and any chance of a Labour government.

I feel it is the opposite case. A general election without Brexit surely means a big vote for the LibDems and the Brexit Party, so any MP sitting in a Brexit-problem seat (especially Labour Remainers sitting for northern Leave seats, and Tory Leavers sitting for southern Remain seats) will lose to them. So both individual members and Labour as a whole should be terrified of a no-Brexit election and be willing to support pretty much anything that looks like a deal (or even 'no deal' in the end, if it is dressed up to look ok to the Remainer 'ultras'). Then they can go back to their constituency and say 'We got it done, for good or evil, and nobody could have worked harder to make it a good deal than your MP, me.'

Poor record keeping now fixed.

Oh? I thought that wasn’t your point?

Anyway, it’s not exactly fixed, it’s just swept under the carpet. They still don’t know who is here, they are just asking everyone to (in some cases) re-apply for their right to remain. Like, for example my Dad, who lived and worked and paid a shed load of tax in the U.K. for 50 years. The records are so well fixed that even he has to apply for the right to stay.

So yes, it’s fixed, it’s fixed so that they can target the easy people, the ones who fill out the forms and try to abide by the rules. The ones that don’t? I bet they are queuing up to give Boris their name and address.

I think you’ve misread my post, my magnificent seven and SMDRP member.

If Johnson’s Brexit deal gets approved by Parliament and we’re out, there’s nowtfor the LIBdems or the Brexit party to punt for ........in any election- as we’ve already left, hence why I doub5 the libdems will support any deal (Labour too).

Well, true, the LibDems are relying on a 'no-Brexit' election, so any kind of pre-election Brexit 'win' is a disaster for them. And Labour don't really want an election at all, and certainly not one where the narrative is "It's Boris wot won it", but I still think an election without Brexit being 'done' is worst case for about 250 MPs who have been enjoying saying 'no' to every possible permutation, but who will have to commit this month, if they want any hope of re-election.

Ponziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
ECB has one year of German debt to buy before limits, sources say
The European Central Bank can buy just over one year's worth of German bonds under its new asset-purchase programme and must bend its own rules to keep the scheme running longer, risking fresh internal and legal conflict, two sources familiar with the process said.

Seems Johnson is gonna ask Mps to back any deal he gets.
Dunno how this is gonna meet labours 6 points and I cannot see remain (Lib dem) agreeing to such.....they don’t wanna leave.

None of them trust Johnson.

“British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will ask parliament to back any Brexit deal that he secures from the European Union within 24 hours of the European summit next week, the Times reported on Saturday.
Johnson will introduce a motion on Saturday for a vote asking lawmakers to back any agreement he secures from EU at the Oct. 17-18 summit, along with the terms of the Benn act, which mandates him to seek an extension if a deal is not reached, the newspaper said www.thetimes.co.uk/article/johnson-will-ask-mps-to-choose-deal-or-delay-on-super-saturday-6v25wjlpf

What is more commonplace more than ever is less people actually care now one way or t'other. Me included....I just don't care and have no interest or appetite for Brexit or a n other anymore.

A decision to not make an defined decision has been the most damaging part for me for too long. If you ever have to have regrets then regret the decisions you made and learn from them or deal with it. You should always regret never making a decision as not making a decision is not a decision.
