Exactly! I'm going to replace the lot, looks like I'll have to make them up, once I understand what size fittings etc. I need. The routing and access looks a pain, especially at the rear.Demonstrates the value of an MOT Allan, easy to miss.
Not experienced in modern (ish) cars, but the route over the bulkhead/firewall is usually the most problematic! Plus with ABS etc. there is a world more pipe than there used to be.Exactly! I've done a few older ones, minis mgbs etc. The caliper hard pipes and the two front to rear are the ones requiring replacement, the abs ones in the engine bay all appear good. The flexis will no doubt need done as they will probably get graunched getting everything apart. Not experienced in modern (ish) cars, but the route over the bulkhead/firewall is usually the most problematic! Yes there is, both of those need replacing, but simple enough. (As long as they unscrew from the calipers!)There’s also hard lines from the flexis to the front calipers if memory serves.
Well worth the wait, for the tyres. Alloys refurbed in original Mercury Grigio, and Michelin pilot sport cup 2 tyres.
Excellent, thanks. I totally forgot about that thread.
Plenty rust on me these days lol. To be fair to the car underside was mostly flakey paint on the jacking points, underside of the radiator mount, and anti roll bar, looked horrible but fundamentally sound. The subframes are solid with virtually no paint loss , so I'm impressed with that. The 3200 appears quite well built underneath.not just scottish roads, Allan lives close to the sea so i am surprised he is not showing rust in certain places as well............but then, only his nurse would notice that to be fair
