Whilst waiting outside a takeaway yesterday evening, the woman in the car in front reversed 10 feet and WHACK! straight into my front bumper, frightened the life out of my wife who was just sitting in the car, first I know about it, my daughter comes running into the shop and yells "Dad - somebody just hit your Maserati!" did get some funny looks as still in working clothes.

Damage is minor, or looks it, slight scuff on bumper but my newly sprayed grille is twisted and the trident leans back at an angle. The other party is all insured - so they say, but she is only young and wants to pay for a repair - Eurospares have the grille at over £600 - insurance job i fear.

Rotten luck and, i could do without the expense or aggravation at present - any recommended body shops in north Surrey area? seen prestige in chertsey somewhere on the forum any others?

had a good look today in daylight and its very minor, infact its a probably salvagable - save for a small chip on the paint in one corner and a scuff which should easily polish out the damage is hardly noticeable - but i want to get it checked, just incase something else is damaged

Doh! Murphy's law in action...

I chuckled at the chip shop scenario I bet that got some necks straining to check it out!

Hope it gets sorted easily

At least all in the car are OK RSM ......and at least not as bad as first thought...Still a pain in the bum though.......especially as it's your pride and joy.

Sorry to hear of this you are indeed doing the right thing as the number mountings may be broken. Look on the positive side, at least you can get your front bumper painted and any stone chips you have will be a thing of the past.

Yep, as above. And get some protective film put on it :)

Not sure if this fella is very close, but I've heard good things about Prestige. Speak to Shane - they do mostly more classic stuff, but from what I read, they're well thought off and may well be doing some cosmetic stuff on my GS in the near future.

Sorry to hear that RSM. Definitely worth getting it properly checked to make sure there's no damage beyond that you've seen. Hope not.
