Even though I have a holiday booked for April, I completely agree a total lockdown is required.

I will have to buy a sun lamp and start heating the swimming pool instead :)

I think you have to forget any travel or holiday this year.
That is not a priority.

After the Cobra Committee meeting the UK Government is expected to announce today that the UK is to move from its current containment tactics (complacency) to a delay phase (incompetence).
When this doesn't work the government may move to an emergency (panic) setting.
Once all the old and sick people have died thus handily solving the social care crisis the Tory government will move back to it's normal smug barstard setting.
This ends today's public disinformation broadcast.

Unless you're going to stay in your house for the next 2 months you've as much chance of catching it here as anywhere , excluding the countries with serious outbreaks obviously, if nobody goes on holiday or spends any money on anything other than disinfectant and toilet paper the economy will be shot to ****.

I've just found out I can change all my bookings up to 5 days before we go at no cost so that's a month of watching and waiting unfortunately.

It's a given the tourist industry is now fuuked, along with airlines and cruise companies etc.
If not the companies themselves all the workers laid off or stood down.
I'm seriously worried in my industry, M&E services to manufacturing companies. They will suspend projects and ban contractors working on their sites, to limit the number of people coming onto their sites potentially bringing infection.

That's not an argument, clearly the escalator needs to go up, toilet paper hangs down at the front. Jeez. Next we'll be arguing about tea / dinner!

I fully concur my good man, not least for the fact that the inner ply of two-ply paper is made of longer, tougher pulp and is the rough side whereas the outer ply is soft and weaker.

the inexplicable is why people ‘bunch’ not fold?

I’m calling ********, but I reckon the entire SM membership, including me is making a beeline for the bathroom to assess the softness of either side of the big roll

PS it’s dinner how many times do we have to go through this. ;)

There are two (and a half) people I've learned to be very careful not to disagree with.

At least once more, Oneball. As always (with apologies to Orlando Bloom's scriptwriters)

First abroad trip I had booked in 5 years is going to be cancelled as I cant risk it with young children and high risk relatives. Typical! I'll earn it again at least.

Except you’re wrong
I’m right 99.9% of the time.
Zeps got a formula which looks something like this.

Brexit + Euro Ponzi+ Us Ponzi+ Coronavirus= Wattie, Gold 99.9 fineness%

It’s like being trapped in a room with the family in law. Next thing you’ll be explaining why Geoff Boycott is the greatest living Englishman and your favourite read is Whippet Weekly.
That's Geoffrey to you and he was a fine golfer..and I prefer whippets wives.
