I didn't detect ANY sarcasm in your post, really don't know how I missed that. I havn't detected in any of your previous posts and there have been a lot.
In all seriousness, how can anyone in the world be happy right now. Show me some really good news, I'd really love to see it.
I measured the endfloat on my 3200 today, it's bang in factory spec after 87k miles.

I was being a bit sarcastic with that one as Certain forum members seem to think that other members are too negative...what is there to be happy about right now!
Babies are still being born, the environment is breathing a bit easier at the moment, Boris is recovering, many people are being kinder/nicer to each other, some families are growing closer, if you are a Christian it’s Easter and so a time to celebrate etc. Despite Coronavirus and the tragedies it is creating, I can still find good reasons to be happy, to have hope, and be optimistic

Quite a good press conference tonight but couple of things.
1/ Watched on BBC and your stupid "breaking news" banner in bright red totally obliterated the message from the government message stay home protect the NHS save lives on the podiums. Somebody from the government.....have a word!
2/ 1038 dead today, biggest number yet and yet journalists asking when we are coming out of lockdown? No time soon sweetheart!
3/ That nurse Ruth has glammed up a lot since her last appearance, hair cut, top makeup job and pretty dress rather than scrubs. Just saying on that, not necessarily critisizing.
4/ Thought professor Van-Tam spoke well, was honest about oxygen, said to wife afterwards that honesty is ALWAYS the best policy. DOn't lie to the public, it will come out if you do.
5/ What are peoples thoughts on Robert Jenrick and his visits to various homes.
I thought Professor Van-Tam was excellent as always, straight talker and honest with his messaging. I agree lock down will not be over anytime soon. My money is on June at the earliest using a phased approach based upon age/ demographics.

I agree with you entirely. And with the above comment re: the UK statements vs trump. I worry for the USA right now.

Had dinner outside today, scampi and chips. There’s little birds building a nest in the eves, garden is springing into life, no one was injured when a lifting beam failed at work, there’s wine in the fridge and in two days I can eat my Easter egg

Lisinopril is an ace inhibitor...so it’s a risk benefit ratio. There is good evidence that being on Ace inhibitors gives a worse outcome looking at the stats I believe
I take 2.5mg a day of Lisinopril every day so given that its the lowest dose you can have then I am assuming I should still be OK?.

Oneball, I suspect myself and a lot people on here are somewhat more fortunate than "the average". Some probably are living in "very poor surroundings" (one bedroom flat amongst three was my example) and don't know where the next Pound is coming from. Just saying it how I see it in the UK right now.
I am really sorry to put a downer on this thread. I wish I didn't have these bad thoughts, it stops me sleeping at night.

I think you are right that the big thing that’s not been talked about too much is mental health. Despite less people being out and about we’re having similar if not more incidents involving suicides/attempted suicides.

FYI last year was a record year, since records began, for suicide in the UK.... Guess who the biggest demographic was males of middle age or younger....
As someone who works on the railway, we are closer to it than many.
Will be interesting to see how 2020 compares..
(sorry to be a downer... Off fir another beer)

I’m on 10mg. I’m fooked. But then you can go to 50mg.
I think even 10mg is a pretty low dose so I suspect you will be OK. I did look it up on the NHS website and evidently even with C-19, you are not advised to stop your medication. But I'm no Doctor....so I maybe wrong?

It's a very underlying problem, there has been a big push on mental health in recent years, but I feel blokes are blokes and still hide it.

Currently due to Covid-19 most metal health support in the community is being withdrawn and patients are lucky to get telephone consultations at the moment. The community metal heath nurses are being moved to front line roles, needs must I guess, but there will be consequences for sure.

The team and I have repaired lots of slit wrists recently. Mental health is definitely a big issue. God knows how it will affect some relationships too. For some work is an escape. (Puts on tin hat)

No you aren’t wrong. It’s not a great idea to stop medication without support and advice. Problem is most GPS won’t have a clue about the current evidence - and the consultants who do will be up to their eyes with sick patients. It’s a catch 22. I wouldn’t worry about low dose ace inhibitors unduly. As long as you stay isolated and sensible then the odds are firmly with you!
