Wouldn’t it be nice if people spent more time on the “Self isolation.......the positives” thread talking about all the constructive and positive things they are doing with their time in their communities and at home, instead of wasting their time on this thread spreading misinformation and slagging people off. How is this helping anyone? If you are so indignant about some of the behaviour out there, go and do something about it!

Very good point. Apart from the call to vigilantism and rioting, obvio :p

Gold might be climbing but the price of oil is still plummeting, prices at the pumps are changing daily and for once in the right direction just a pity we won't be allowed to go out soon

I;m stuck in UK, finishing 14/04 in Dubs, all my stuff is there I'm going to have to collect it or put it in storage I think. Unless I get something else in Dubs which is unlikely given the circs and the fact I've had my fill of it, I love it there don't get me wrong, I'm half-Irish (well quarter, grandfather) but I always find after an extended period living there I find it limiting, this is my third stretch here and I always end up feeling the same. Guess I'm not ready for it yet!

And been watching 'The Guards: Inside the K' on Irish telly, I live in the K, (K Garda district - not short for 'the kip') - in Royal Canal Walks, very nice but surrounded by Cabra, Finglas and Blanche. At least it's not Ballymun.....

Scary stuff tho - the knackers treat the Garda like ****, effing at them in their faces - a UK copper would have him in the van and in a cell in seconds. Garda are nice, but meek, let you off for everything.

My daughter had an interview an 10am today for Tesco....she got home at 16:30.....she’s worked for this Tesco in between uni
As she can’t carry on full time teacher training, she has decided to do something to help,
Proud of her, she’s on a teaching bursary so could have easily just stayed at home...
