So, in laymans terms, with £80k cash, what can I get and what am I going to loose in two years?

Ferrari/Lambo...tempt me!

Would have liked to add Maserati to the above list but they dont offer anything I would want :(
You could be in an F12 or 488 Spider for less than 500/ month with an 80k deposit.

We have an Aston DB9 in the fleet, weirdly one of the most unpopular cars we have.... rear leg room is a joke so we can’t advertise it as a 4 seater like a Rapide etc... for me they have really not dated well at all but I see from an investment point of view they make sense as they are at the bottom of a J curve.

For me the GT/S looks far more modern and just has that practicality but I guess if you have no kids or requirement for passengers then a DB9 makes sense but then a Vantage V12 makes even more sense then....

Noting reference to the V12 Vantage, I have a bit of a dilemma...

I'm considering rationalising a little and moving from Exige S (V6) and GTS to V12 Vantage.

My reservations are:
1) I've already had a 4.3 V8 Vantage (loved it, but not quite as quick as I'd have liked).
2) The Exige does country lane blasts better than a V12V, very fast handles superbly and is in perfect shape.
3) The GTS seats 4 and is a better GT (which in truth, I don't need very often since I already have an R129 500SL), but handy when we want to take my mum out for lunch!
4) Barely had chance to enjoy the GTS yet.
5) I don't think the 2013 Exige or 2009 GTS will lose much, but as a PX, there's an inevitable double whammy.

Plus side:
V12 V values seem to have stabilised, and if I don't get one now (artificially high supply, probably due to new AM models?), then when will I ever get one? Might kick myself.

Thoughts, especially from V12 V owners?

Don't think...just get one....Get out drive one and it will not mater what others tell you. You will want what is still one af the best looking cars on the road today.

The GTS is certainly more practical, and if you are talking about the pre-facelift DB9, I agree about the looks, but I think the facelift DB9 looks a bit more contemporary than a GTS, particularly from the rear, where the GTS rear lights - which I’ve always thought were a weak point in the design -really date the car in my opinion. And as I explained above, I went for a DB9 because I wanted the car with the more comfortable ride. What makes sense to one person doesn’t necessarily make sense to another, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Mine excites me like no car I have ever had. And it's not overly nannied - it can be quite brutal and bites back if I forget to treat it with respect. It's not a car that you can drive like a **** without repercussions, and that makes me like it all the more. I'm no talented driver, but you know what I mean. Mrs Crud reckons it's more comfortable than the GTS, and she's right. It's also really small and feels its size. Wraps around you beautifully, and easy to place on the road.

I think the V12S is more 'usable' than the non-S due to the adaptive dampers and the normal/sport/track modes. Makes a huge difference, apparently. I suspect Mrs Crud may have been less happy if it only had teeth-shaking/teeth-falling-out modes.

Or a 2 Seater (Lightweight Seat) Vanquish makes the most sense of all :)

Jaw droppingly gorgeous car Robert. Very, very pleased for you.

As an FYI. In the latest Harry's Garage on YT, the featured car is an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. The ultimate V12 Aston, according to Harry.

(apologies for the lack of a link. can't, on my tablet)

Harry's Garage -

This car has been voted GT car of the year in EVO.......It is stunning.....Not a pretty Aston but they do seem to be moving away into more aggressive styling......I do want one very much though.
