If a state allowed citizens to open carry, then Starbucks allowed them to bring guns into their stores. Not content to merely exercise their rights quietly and like mature adults, some gun rights advocates decided that they needed to force Starbucks’ hand. They would descend en masse to their cafes, long guns slung over their shoulders, treating their guns like toys and props in a play. Of course, CJ Grisham was one of these people:

As Starbucks would later say, Grisham and his ilk used their stores as a stage for political events, meant to force Starbucks into abandoning their formerly neutral stance. Instead of quietly exercising their rights, they had to make a big show over it and ultimately caused Starbucks to ask customers to no longer bring guns into their stores.

Blimey that Texas one is scary. Finger on trigger. Imagine seeing that image in central London on a busy day

White male arrested in Walmart yesterday, walking around with an assault rifle, loaded, hundred rounds and a pistol.

Held at gun point until police arrived by an off duty fire fighter with a concealed carry...

So now you have the whole "what if that brave man wasn't carrying?" Argument.

My opinion on this is, the armed white male went to Walmart to cause chaos and film it on his phone for ***** and giggles. Otherwise he'd have just opened fire. Therefore, he'd have probably been stopped equally effectively with some colourful language.

Anyway.... Armed white male arrested without a shot fired. Wonder if it would have been the same if he was black/brown/yellow?

I’m 58 and the only guns I’ve seen (apart from in museums) are a rifle I fired on Team Building Exercise 99, and one we ‘found’ when I was about six all rusty and full of gunk. Dead heavy though for a six year old and only a pistol, probably from the war. My dad took it off me the tight get.
Theres a dutch magnet fishing channel on youtube , they're constantly pulling out german guns from WW2 , MG42 , ammunition pistols, rifles , hand grenades
I suppose they just lobbed them in at the end of the war so they didn't get shot

Just shows was a farce the system is 40,000 killed a year by guns. A guy goes into a store, with a bullet proof vest armed to the teeth. He is arrested. What can they do? He wasn’t doing anything ‘illegal’. He was showing up the system for how ridiculous it is. I just think the whole thing is ludicrous. Talking about ‘tightening up gun laws’ with a 20% tax on guns and ammo. Wow - that will put off would be mass murderers. Or stricter checks on the mentally ill have a gun license. Am I really reading this right?!
