i like that model, is it just a normal STI?

It started off as a Spec D so has full leather, extra soundproofing etc.,.. but I had it modified from new so it has AST coilovers, braided brake hoses etc.,.. then the engine spec includes a twin scroll turbo, equal length headers, upgraded wastegate actuator and it has all been mapped by Bob Rawle. It runs 420 lf/ft torque and approx 400bhp but it was mapped for driveability rather than chasing figures so it is an awesome road car. If you know about things 'Scooby' it is the Spec D that came within 0.7 of a second of beating the Roger Clarke Motorsport Gobstopper in the handling competition at Scooby Shoot Out in 2008.

There are some absolutely beautiful cars on this thread - but are they all classics? what happened to;

Triumph Stag
Triumph TR6
E type Jag series 1
AlfaSud - the only car you buy on Monday , by Friday it was rusty
Unless - you bought a Lancia Beta - which lasted until thursday
Range Rover
Golf Gti - Mk 1
Dodge Charger 440 RT (rapid transport)
Datsun 120 Y

odd choices, yes, on an Italian Supercar Forum - but each a classic in its own right

i dont like many british cars, only really like Lotus, TVR, Ariel Atom and the a couple of fast fords. I was never a fan of the e type jag, wasn't that pretty IMO. Ferrari 330 GTC, was much better looking.

Triumph Stag was designed by an Italian.... My dad owns one so I can't say anything horrible about them, shame they didn't put the V8 Rover engine in it, otherwise a very pretty car. The guy who designed the Stag also helped design a couple of Maserati's I think..

My mate's dad had an Alfasud - it was quite quick from memory, the rust holes got visibly bigger every day, then it just fell to bits! learnt to drive in a 120Y

Austin Allegro - first car in UK to be sold with a 5 speed gearbox

PS love 'ya location' cant be true - my wife dont wear any!

one of the worst british cars has to be the TR7

Austin Allegro - horrid with a square steering wheel! My dads one caught light 3 days after he got it (company car I hasten to add)
Austin Maxi - Mum's car of my youth, hated it so I crashed it a week after passing my test - mum was not pleased!

LOTUS - Lots of Trouble - Usually Serious
FORD - Fix Or Repair Daily

Morris Marina, my mate had a Super Delux in Purple with cream fluffy interior - argggh! we never pulled any birds when he drove anywhere!

In fact I think ALL british cars where apalling during that period
