Adam I always thought the M3 CSL was a great looking car...One of BMW's best proportioned cars....

not saying it was a minger, i think it does look fantastic, but it is not pretty like an 8C or 355. If you see what i mean.

i dont think the cortina lotus looks great no, it was a touring car made road legal. It is a bit like the bmw m3 csl, looks nice but it is not pretty but it is a great car as well.

If more 'ordinairy' cars were valid the Mini Cooper S has to be top of the tree IMHO - I was lucky enough to learn to drive on the last Cooper S Mk3 made.

I would also include the Lotus Sunbeam as a later example of the same principle and that would lead us onto the likes of the Subaru Impreza, I am on my 3rd and it is no looker but is is an amazing piece of kit!

Totaly agree Team GCR....We are getting hung up on beauty here yet there are two true classic mentioned.....Remember being taken for a ride in a Lotus Sunbean...Good it was a handful back then...Great tail out action....Car that made a difference, grabbed the headlines and are now collectable.

totally agree with you on the Scoobs, P1, 22B, RB320, all amazing cars, the 22B are fetching very good money so they are surely a classic in the making.

You missed the WR1 which IMHO was the most complete out of the box of the limited editions (22B excluded). Mind you I am biased as I had one which sadly was stolen from Donington Park in 2006.

My current car is quite a high spec and a friend who owned a Type 25 prefers my car overall.

oh god the WR1, one of my faves as well, really love them, some say the colour is girly, but i would love to see their faces when you thrash them at the lights :D:D sorry to hear it was stolen, you ever seen it for sale? and how did they nick it with/without the keys?

I would be tempted to get an Impreza at some point, so quick and excellent value, it is a car that can teach you so much about driving.
