Passing on my GT after only a few months of very pleasant ownership, a wonderful car but we need to get back in a cabriolet, we miss our 964 too much! Already have a 1972 Spider so our Alfa needs are being met.

Gabbiano blue with black leather and blue stitching. Bose sound system, cruise control, dual climate control, all the boxes were ticked.

87k miles with full service history including one in the last couple of months at Alfacraft in West London using only the best Selenia racing oil. Timing belts (the most critical thing on the Arese V6) were done at 36k and again at 80k.

Mechanically the car has never wanted for anything and I was given receipts for over £5k including a new gearbox, rear discs, clutch and radiator. The day I bought it I replaced the front discs (and pads) due to a very slight warping and discovered the car has the optional 330mm brake upgrade kit which was nice to find.

It's on the original 17" wheels which rides better than the car on 18"s and has 4 good tyres. Wheels need a refurb and someone is coming to look after the weekend, when they're done I'll amend the advert and the price! Cosmetically it's a car which has 87k miles so the paintwork isn't perfect with a few shopping trolley dings and couple of small paintwork areas that are being touched up on Monday. When they're done price goes up again and I'll amend the advert! There is of course NO RUST at all.

Alfa's best driver's car in decades, massive performance and due to needing a quick sale, a very low price. I know it's a bargain and so do you!

Car is in West London; Putney (home) or Chiswick (work) for viewing.

I taxed the car last month so it has 11 months on it along with a year's MOT (no advisories - you can check these days!)

Don't envy you that mate :(

I complain when I have to get in before 9! Usually arrive at 10:30 and leave at 3:30. Don't want to get stuck in traffic do we :)

Just got this mail from Pistonheads. Scam or not?? He mailed yesterday, I replied, he just sent this. Seems to me a mate of his will come round and take my car, then the money will be taken back via PayPal. Or am I being too cynical? Also English is blatantly not his first language...

Lewis, thanks for your response, your price is quite reasonable and
affordable, I'll have it. Let me ask you these few questions regards
the car:

Why are you selling it?
Do you have the registration document, MoT certificate and service history?
How long have you owned it?
Has the car ever been in a crash?
Is there money owed on the car (to a hire-purchase company)?
Is the mileage genuine?
What’s the car been used for?
Do you have the receipt at the moment?

I currently run a contract job with British Petroleum in Clair
field,Shetland .I'm buying this for my personal use back home. I'll
like to view most recent closer shot pics. I would have love to come
for a test drive but unfortunately i can't at this moment. I'll be
making arrangement with a Shipping Agent that will be coming for the
pickup and do this on my behalf. Regards payment, I'll be pleased to
make payment via my PayPal account cos it attached to my bank account.
I'll need you to email me the pickup location or address so that I can
have it across to the shipping agent to calculate Shipping cost in
timely fashion. I look forward reading from you soon. Thanks

Daniel.

Lewis, this has SCAM written all over it. The car leaves the country and you will find that no money ever arrives. Tell him to send 3.5k with his mate and then he can do whatever he wants with the car. If he wants it he'll do it. IMO, the only truth in this classic concoction of cr4p is that he wants it for his personal use in another country, my guess Nigeria. If Daniel has ever seen Shetland, I will show my 4rse in Woolworths window!

I very much 'Daniel' has ever seen a rig either. He's probably sitting in an office in Lagos sending out such letters to lots of guys who are selling cars. If he lands on someone who is desperate to sell he might get away with a free car. The real kicker is that it is the desperate who get hit with this lousy scam. Hanging is too good for these scumbags. Turn the tables and tell him he should trust you and send his money and then you will send your car.

Its fake.....dont let it go.....

Do they really expect people to let the car go then pay??

They dont want to say nigeria so its UK now....
My uncle nearly fell for it in cyprus when he saw an alfa spyder at 7k....i laughed as he belled me asking me what i think.....they were in norway and would send te car to cyprus when he pays, but like argos they were giving him his money back if he never liked it....hahahahahaha
