Hi there joe, yes this is fpr real....i too have a deposit down on the 4c as do a few people on here, andy for one....

Dem, how are you felling about this now......I have mixed feelings about it.....Not as a great car but as a money making opportunity......Will have to see when more info comes out.

I decided it wasn't worth it so got a refund on my deposit about a few weeks ago - will be down-spec'd and the price will creep up, wouldn't be surprised if the limited run idea fades away, and it's already delayed!

Been here before with Alfa's.....Every car Alfa brings out they say this is the one and although I love them, as you know, they are always flawed...........The 8C was very rare and a collectors piece..This 4C will be a production model with a current Alfa engine.......I'm not sure the dymanics will be any better than the what Alfa are currently doing.......They will need to work very hard to have a car that can compete with the other'leight weight' hero's that are for sale.....Don't get me wrong I'm sure it will be a stunner and will sell on looks along but why will this be different to any other new Alfa......They have never got it quite right to be better then the competition...................But then again it is an Alfa and like Maserati thats enough......It's just a niggling in the back of my mind Frank.

And that as well Nige.................Already talk of it being closer to 50K.

It would have to be a H£LL of a car for £50K...in with the big boys and other quality stuff 1/2 yrs old......the name/image of Alfa may not be enough.

I am thinking that myself Frank..At first it was 40k which seems about right but the closer to 50k you get the more I feel it will be a challenge as it will have to have stunning dynamics to compete with the best...And then if it is going to closer to 50k then spec if up and you could have a 55/60k car.....I hope I'm wrong and its a 40k car...

If it is 60K then i dont think it will sell well at all, i know the 8C was 130k but that was something very special and was pretty much a Maserati underneath but i can not see people choosing the 4C over an Evora S, 911, used Granturismo etc.

Adam, it will not be 60k......it may be 405k/50k basic...I'm just thinking out loud really.... Depends whats on the option list...

Thanks Dem,
It is good to know that other guys are in on this one to. I hope to hear from Con when he gets back from Le Mans and then go ahead and see of I can place a deposit. I have owned numerous Alfas but the 4C looks to be a stunning vehicle. It all comes down to individual taste and I would be very happy to get my hands on one of these.

Not good, i want a job where i can work my own hours frank, thats what i been used to my whole life...
Also if i swallow it & have a 9-5 no problem but there are not many jobs out there that can take me on & train me from scratch, they all want 2 years experience but how will i get that experience if none of them train me up, even for monkey nuts, i dont mind if i know im onto something.....
Best thing for me to do is start my own company......

I did & im still researching 2 of them everyday.....i even did a trial on my own for 1 so we see how it goes....its just so hard....
