One more thing I have noticed that wont make production along with the interior and front bumper (number plate) are the wing mirrors. The look fantastic, but are moulded to the door so have no way to fold...pedestrian restriction again!

Imagine the bill for snapping one of those bad boys off!

The spyder looks very nice. Good lines. However, the artwork strikes me as a bit suspect as it looks like they took the first publicity shot in the Alps (good) and the second in a Japanese coastal resort (not so good). Do we have any idea of spyder prices yet?

Nope, €45k is being banded about, but I think this is being used by Alfa to gauge what they can get for it.

A lot of the auto journals are saying they wont be able to manufacturer the car with a composite tub for that money.

They probably mean it has active rear steering, same as the GTV, whey means the rear wheels turn slightly when loaded, like into a corner, its a very ingenious system and cost little to have. That's what I like about Alfa, they are very innovative and forward thinking. Okay, it does not always work out, but they do seem to think of the ideas that many then copy.

Sorry for the misunderstanding but it was meant to be a joke, ie Mito chassis with the body put on back to front so it will be RWD.

Seriously, wouldn't it be cheaper and easier for Alfa to simply rebody an Elise chassis like the Vauxhall VX220?

Based on a KTM design then...maybe...I wouldn't mond the KTM bit as they have a cracking chassis.
