A Maserati owner at last

Yesterday I acquired a beautiful and immaculately maintained Nero/Avorio 4200, formally owned by a leading forum member, via Richard Grace. It hasn't really sunk in yet, but I took the family out for a celebratory pub dinner in it last night and attracted a fair bit of attention in the car park - not sure if that was due to her stunning good looks or the incredible sound from the X pipe and sport back boxes! Work is getting in the way of driving at the moment but I'm hoping to go to the Haynes Museum event at the weekend and take her for her first proper blast out on the open road. She really gets frustrated in the Bristol-wide 20mph zone and the pouring rain. I might see some of you there.
I'll post an update in a while.
Happy days!

Ah Bristols 20mph zone...not loved by CC boxs and a high powered engine...hate the drive through there to Clifton from my home in the suburbs.

From somewhere in France or maybe Northern Ireland I believe.
Pics to follow when I have had a chance to clean her. Already rain and mud splattered.

Hi, after a nearly three weeks of wonderful ownership, I have attached a couple of pics. As I am the second forum owner of her, you may well recognise her. I've done about a 1000 miles - trips to Somerset and Devon - always taking the long route, as well as lots of time going around some great roads in Gloucestershire - essentially going round and round for no purpose at all other than pure fun. When accompanied, I still struggle to hold back shouted expletives as I floor her and love the feel of adrenaline that I have not had since I rode fairly fast bikes. My wife is a terrible influence - egging me on to go faster and now says she wants a rosso Spyder...

Meeting some of the other guys at the Haynes museum and at Queens Square, Bristol last Sunday (what a great collection of cars!) has also been great. Looking forward to meeting more of you and put a 'face to posts'.

Heading off to meet the Emblem guys on Saturday for a check over and then onto Devon for (another) blast through the moors (in the non 40mph zones of course). Lots of interest from the neighbours and I think I may have persuaded one of them to get a QP. I have also spent a fair bit of time cleaning her. I had never really washed a car properly before, so a quick Google on 'how to wash and polish a car' followed by a trip to Halfords, I now have a shed full of cleaning products and spend a lot of time on detailing web sites.

I've gone a bit bonkers but I'm loving it.

I think this is the car I saw on Richard's website that attracted me to the Marque. I was about a week late with the wedge.....shame :conf4:

Still, there'll be more, I'll get there in the end.
