Just wait until you get to 60, you work out you've done well to get this far so might as well live any remaining years at full throttle, although you do need to stop at 10:00pm for your Horlicks, slippers and bed ;)

Horlicks? Not Ovaltine?

Yep, that would be a concern but at 58 I don’t think that would be an issue as you tend to start driving like Miss Daisy
I’d totally agree with you, but my mother (66 at the time) managed to park our 1959 Series 1 Lotus 7 in a ditch upside down a few years ago. You only need to hit a bit oil (or in that case diesel) on the road and not catch the back end. Fortunately it had a decent (and most unperiod!) roll bar on it. I doubt she or her passenger would have walked away without it.

I used to work just down the road from SM World and I saw that rig, or something similar, at a car show in the area something like 20 years ago. It did look really cool and as though the Citroen was designed for the job.

You do have a point actual Phil. I am up at 5 everyday so I suppose that is why I get tired by 9. Good point well made my friend.

I used to roll out of bed at 0450 every morning. And not be in bed until 2200. I also used to have a sleeping bag under my desk where I would sleep where I had to.

God alone knows how I survived. I'm having to set the alarm for 0615 these days! Getting older! (A privilege denied to many)

This is twice I have posted on this French car thread this year….Think I need to sit down and give myself a good talking to.

Did love this little car though. If the Elise hadn’t just come out it may have done much better maybe.

There was me saying they don’t come up for sale and one pops up at auction.
