In a Portuguese beach car park today and immediately thought of you Mr Wilkinson. This beautiful R4 was certainly not a workhorse anymore and had been restored to a very high standard. It was a Alan!! (Minter).

This is twice I have posted on this French car thread this year….Think I need to sit down and give myself a good talking to.

Did love this little car though. If the Elise hadn’t just come out it may have done much better maybe.

The windscreen was an option on the road cars. Theoretically that duct in the scuttle pushed the air up and over the passenger compartment
Ah yes, I remember now. They did do a one make race series with the one without the windscreen. Very rare you see them come up for sale these days. Always thought they would have looked much better without the silver roll over bar.

Yep, that would be a concern but at 58 I don’t think that would be an issue as you tend to start driving like Miss Daisy :)
Just wait until you get to 60, you work out you've done well to get this far so might as well live any remaining years at full throttle, although you do need to stop at 10:00pm for your Horlicks, slippers and bed ;)
